The "no call/no show" list was definitely one of the best ways to secure a deep discount on a last minute, and I do mean last minute, cruise. However, since the security changes that occured due to 9/11 it is my understanding from several of the cruiselines that the manifest now needs to closed 24 hours before a sailing. Hence, the days of waiting at the port for a no-show are over. If anyone knows this to be untrue and have secured a last minute (day of) sailing, please relay the information on so that I might once again find myself loitering at the port.
